With present technology I think it unlikely. This virus is from a family of viruses that have the pattern/ability to hibernate within certain tissues, away from the blood flow that brings treatments. When they emerge and become symptomatic they can be pushed back, but some stay behind & hibernate. If/when we can get at the hibernating virus we may end its tenure. Until then we treat recurrences.
