There is very limited use in obtaining such random values. 118/min would be mild tachycardia commonly seen with physical activities or emotional states, for example, talk to your doc if your heart rate remains higher than 100/min when checked repeatedly at rest.

Check the accuracy of what you are using to count your pulse. This can be normal depending on how hot it is and you are and how much exercise you are doing. Your body is talking to you. Listen and take good notes and discuss with your Dr.
