Bruising or hyperpigmentation can result from a variety of causes including: trauma, allergic dermatitis, skin damage (from sun, lasers or chemicals), or even abnormal skin growths. You should see an in person Dr soon, so that a full evaluation and potentially a biopsy can be done to determine the best course of action.
