How longs chest inflammation last with acute bronchitis? been 3 weeks and still have pain in my chest now and then?

Bronchitis is unfortunately known for its long and complicated course. Frequently, multiple courses of antibiotics and inhalers is needed for healing to completely take place. You should talk to the Dr who has been treating you for this and discuss next steps. They will need to rule out pnuemonia, possibly take a sputum sample and treat you for an additional period of time.

Watch for signs of shortness of breath, increased sputum production and fever. Avoid smoke, stay well hydrated,rest. Have a COVID-19 vaccine. If still not at your usual status, please see your physician. A virtual consultation with HT is available.
