Im spotting today i had unprotected sex 12/10 we used pull out method and im not suppose to get my period till beginning january. so is this a early sign of pregnancy or my period? but i also took a plan b the day we had unprotected sex. im worried?

The "pull out" is not birth control since the erect penis leaks sperm constantly. It only takes one to get pregnant. If you took EC within 24 hrs you are likely not pregnant, but all forms of BC can fail. You can do a urine pregnancy test if menses is late.

Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes about 3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully.
