Moscow State University Professor Michail Tombak suggests using lemon juice before you shampoo to change the Ph or acidity-alkalinity of your scalp. I've been doing so for decades and have gone off medicated shampoo.

"Dandruff" is actually something called seborrheic dermatitis, which is caused by a yeast that lives normally in your scalp. No, it is not dangerous to eat a dandruff flake. There are many OTC shampoos available to treat SD, such as Selsun Blue and Head & Shoulders. If those do not work, see a dermatologist for a prescription shampoo.
