This is an important question to consider in an individual with an implanted ICD. If the ICD was implanted without a prior episode of syncope, the risk of a dangerous arrhythmia should be assessed by an electrophysiologist. who is the most qualified person to make this decision. If the ICD was placed because of a recent episode of a serious arrhythmia, such evaluation may be required. Good
