Triamcinolone should never be used on the face. What you are experiencing is called a "rebound reaction" - the inflammatory response has been suppressed, and is now over-responding with redness and desquamation. Another name for this is "steroid rosacea". A dermatologist can help you get through this rebound reaction, but it will take some time.
