A member asked:

Vitamin d supplements were recommended for my baby - what is the best carrier? different brands use olive oil, coconut oil, or mct oil? is one more tolerated by a baby? are there any studies on giving them that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

D is a fat soluble vitamin, meaning it dissolves best in a fat & not in water. Any of the fatty oils mentioned are reasonable carriers for this supplement. I am not aware that one performs better than any other. All have been used as nutritional supplements by themselves.
