A member asked:

Are severe headaches associated with trig nerolgia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Trigeminal neuralgia or tic douloreux is classically described as facial pain in one of the three distributions of the trigeminal nerve. These three distributions are to the forehead, the cheek and the chin. Symptoms are on one side and are very transient. They come and strike "like lightening" and can be very severe. They are often triggered by touch, brushing the teeth, shaving, chewing.
