It takes a couple days for sperm to travel to the position of conception. If you are truly 5 wks you conceived about 5 wks ago.

The timing of “fertilization” may be best correlated with “known ovulation”, not with ejaculatory sexual intercourse. If a recently released egg by ovary is already in the tube, “fertilization” i.e. penetration by a sperm is believed to occur quickly, probably within minutes to hours. Having an “irregular cycle” makes dating your pregnancy more difficult and dependent on early accurate sonograms
