On occasion, two eggs will ovulate simultaneously, and the drop in estrogen just prior to ovulation is more extreme, so withdrawal spotting can occur. Spotting can also occur with cervical inflammation, especially after sexual activity. See your GYN physician for an exam and testing if this continues.
