You may not have had it because of the pizza but because of the nature of your diet. The gas and farting is because of the effect of the germs in your bowel on the food you eat exemplified by pizza. You could increase vegetable to increase fiber and increase fluid, reduce sugar and carbohydrate and that may be helpful. Fermented food may also help in that the fermentation is not in your bowel
