Recently when eating garlic, i feel very hot, flushed, and get this sort of weird drunk then 'hungover' feeling. then sort of feverish. is this autoimmune reaction? allergy?

Not autoimmune, just allergic to this type of garlic if you never had problem with garlic in the past. I hope you did not eat garlic made in China which is notorious for contaminant.
