A member asked:

Are there any dangerous interaction between vyvanse and mucinex night shift? have a cold but want to be safe as well. pharmacist blindly said no problem without checking ingredient/type. contains acetaminophen, dextromethorphan hbr, triprolidine hcl?

Drugs .com states there are over 91 meds with major interactions with vyvanse. I usually place much confidence in a pharmacists advice, but in this situation I recommend not taking Mucinex Night Shift. Ride out the cold symptoms with rest, good fluid intake and acetaminophen as needed for aches and pains.Clean warm water nasal irrigations or steam inhalations as needed.

If you have hypertension, you should not use both Vyvanse and Mucinex Night Shift which contains phenylephrine, a decongestant because this combination may exacerbate hypertension and heart rate. If phenylephrine is not listed as an ingredient as your description, you can use them together.
