Up to 40% with Covid may have few-to-no symptoms. The dry cough is "classic"--if we can even say that after only about two years' history with the disease. So other medical conditions, medications, etc., may influence the "dry" cough to make it sound "wet" or other. With the pandemic still ongoing, if concerned, it would be wise to get tested. Wiser still to get vaccinated. Be well.

You can have a Covid-19 infection without any cough at all. If a cough is present, it can be a dry, hacking type cough or it could be a cough productive of sputum. The only way to know for sure if someone has Covid or not is to get tested. So, if there is any suspicion, please get tested. And, get vaccinated, if you haven’t already, since this is a great way to prevent severe disease.
