You are currently taking a mild analgesic, and escalating to more potent opioids is a recipe for habituation or addiction, tolerance, and a host of potential adverse reactions. Far better is physical therapy, and learning to perform McKenzie exercises. Pain management skills can be enhanced through biofeedback therapy and perhaps acupuncture.

The best treatment comes from knowing exactly what you are treating. It is not clear whether or not you have had a proper work-up and evaluation. I would recommend you see a PM&R specialist that deals with these problems so that you can determine whether the pain you are experiencing is from muscle, bone, joint or nerve. Once that is clarified a proper treatment regimen becomes much clearer.
