Yes: A displaced meniscus usually is associated with pain on the affected side. Pain typcally comes with a certain twisting of the knee particularly as you come up from a squatting position. It is also associated with the sensation that the knee "locks" meaning you can not straight the knee out all the way.You can experience various degrees of swelling of the knee joint as well.
