I have a candida albicans ige-mediated allergy after being on antibiotics. have you heard of this happening? what to do?

I'm familiar with IgG mediated allergy to Candida causing various more chronic symptoms. IgE mediated allergies cause immediate reactions when coming in contact with allergens, in this case the offending allergen would be candida or yeast. I have no experience with this, but an allergist would be best to answer your question & advise you.

You are susceptible to Candidiasis (an opportunistic infection) when taking prolonged antibiotics. For you, candidiasis (disease caused by Candida albicans) is not an opporturnistic disease but it Candida also cause allergy in your case which can manifest as rashes, eczema, asthma, etc. and the serum test for Candida albicans IgE will be positive.
