This is usually a multi factorial problem. But, when a person is struggling to breathe and get enough oxygen in, eating becomes much less of a priority for the body so the appetite decreases. Usually, once the heart failure is controlled, the appetite returns. Meanwhile, giving them less food more often usually helps-especially food they really enjoy and with higher calories. We do not know. Or at least I do not know. Treat heart failure and should get better. Avoid all salt my help as well.
