How much does it cost to see a neurologist to get a diagnosis but i dont have insurance?

It will really depend on what is needed to make the diagnosis. You can call the neurologist’s office and find out what an initial consultation will cost. This will not include any tests that are needed. You can always discuss the price of the tests the neurologist wants to order at the time of your initial consultation. Call the neurologist at a local teaching hospital and discuss your situation.

Stated neurology fees for consultation are almost always higher than the insurance reimbursements, and you could negotiate a visit promising to pay cash equivalent to what the doctor would be paid by the carrier. Would ask about sliding scale payments, and contact several offices. Your primary care doctor might help negotiate all of this. Good luck.
