A member asked:

I've been having a sudden, sharp, burning pain that feels as if someone is stabbing a burning hot pin into my skin. it's in the exact same place each time, my outer lower leg, but when i look, there is no mark, no redness, no bump, nothing?

The type of pain is suggesting a neuropathic involvement, meaning that the local nerve may be involved. There are many possible causes from mechanical, such as local compression to systemic conditions causing neuropathy. Having it mentioned to your primary care doc would be a good idea in case it starts creating discomfort.
