Plantar warts: Plantar warts can be treated in a number of ways. Over the counter liquid or plaster containing salicylic acid is often helpful. Dermatologists can treat plantar warts by freezing with liquid nitrogen, applying a blistering medication to lift the wart off the surface of the skin, injections of medications that attract cells of the immune system and lasers to cut off blood supply to warts.
