Ear stink is generally from the gas emitted from bacteria or fungal agents. You say on antibiotics but were they in ear drops that are the standard treatment of many such cases? An ear clean out/flush out under direct visualization in the doctors office is sometimes needed.

Hello, A culture is often times the best way to direct treatment for complicated ear infections. Also, having a good relationship with your ENT team is important. Most times topical medications applied to the ear after a complete ear cleaning is needed and may need to be repeated. We ask “Patience for patients”! Since these infections take time for complete resolution.
