It is normal for a 7-year-old to be anxious about getting an injection. Relaxation techniques such as deep breathing may be helpful. You can get help for that on YouTube. If that does not work, seek out a mental health professional. Also, make sure you model calmness for your child.

I have taken kids this age to the surgery center. A CRNA will mask the kid to sleep then start an IV. Then I can numb the area and the childs fears are illuminated.
