Small area: There are multiple small branches of the coronaries and if one goes down and a small amount of muscle is damaged, that is still a heart attack. The remainder may be quite adequate particularly if subsequent behavior is improved!

Minimal Damage: If the damage from the heart attack was minimal, the heart can still be healthy and strong. Other times, the heart can recover its strength and return to normal function. So, that can happen.
