A member asked:

Can oral hpv virus without infecting throat pass down to infect lungs/alveoli?

Viruses enter the body through a break in skin or mucous membrane and get in the blood and could spread all over the body via the blood stream and may settle in any organ that they have affinity for or organ that allows them to flourish is more like what it is.

The various strains of HPV are specific to the tissue type they infect. Genital strains infect genital skin, but not regular skin & not random sited about the inside of the body. These tend to be superficial invaders, that do not enter the blood & spread everywhere, just the location where they re planted. There are no reported strains that infect the inner lung/alveoli.

Agree with Dr. Ferguson. Get HPV vaccine that would protect you from the dangerous strains of HPV. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get Covid vaccine. Wish you good health!
