A 24-year-old female asked:

I took "2" doses of ecps this month and am late on periods by 16 days. i took 2 beta hcg tests from different labs. one says less than 1.2, the other says less than 2. the labs say less than 5 is not pregnant. is there still a chance of pregnancy?

Low levels of pregnancy hormone can provide uncertain testing results, and can occur with pregnancies outside the uterus (ectopic). Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain. Stress can also delay ovulation, which will delay onset of menses. If the HCG test is positive, see your GYN physician for an exam and other testing.
