Will my stomach bleed if i use ibuprofen while still having side effects from pepto bismol such as a common side effect black stool ?

Ibuprofen can cause bleeding in the upper gi tract if taken excessively and on an empty stomach. This would cause stools to be black. Peptobismol can also be a cause of black stools. A simple stool test in the physician's office can detect blood in the stool if you have any concerns about black stools being from upper gi bleeding or from peptobismol.
