Taking "meth" is dangerous regardless , but with hypertension of the degree mentioned, even more so. There is no clinical explanation for "normalization" of blood pressure after using " meth", but recommend your husband see an internist for more aggressive treatment of hypertension and stop the "meth" !!

Meth use is associated with high blood pressure. Hypertension not adequately controlled with lisinopril(?inadequate dose) does not go well with meth use, recreational or otherwise. I am unable to tell you why "every time meth is used, blood pressure is lower". Hypertension at a young age has significant long term risks and should always be treated fully using one or more drugs.

We all agree of the need to fully control the hypertension on an ongoing basis, and contact his doctor. Be transparent about the meth, as it is a critically dangerous substance which easily could be deadly. You have not discovered a cure for your husband's high blood pressure and meth can dramatically multiply levels rapidly. All of this needs attention. Rec. Al-Anon.
