Even though you're performing a lot of isometric exercise lifting you're also getting isotonic exercise enough to be aerobic and this gives you good cardio response. Your elevated heart rate should normalize by 20 minutes after stopping your workout, If not see your physician or a cardiologist for evaluation of inappropriate tachycardia.
