A member asked:

I plan on donating my bone marrow in the future where will they take the bone marrow from in my body?

Most of the time, bone marrow stem cells are mobilized with medication and collected from peripheral blood. The process takes about 6 hours. You bones do not need to be punctured to collect bone marrow stem cells. Your local blood bank can advise about the process. Wish you good health!
