Around 3%: The rate of giving birth to twins is about 30 per 1,000 live births in the US. However, this number may be higher than the chances for you to have natural twins. This is because the 3% number includes women who use assisted reproductive technology like IVF (they have higher rates of twins). The fact that you recently stopped birth control does not change your chance of having twins.
