Sperm enter a woman's body through intercourse and begin the long trek up through the vagina through the uterus, and into the fallopian tubes where if there is an egg, fertilization can occur. Sperm that are not successful in fertilizing an egg, die off within 2-5 days. The DNA will remain for much longer, both in the vagina/skin/under nails until it is completely broken down.
