It could.: Inflammatory changes would show up on a ct scan of an infected uterus, but usually laboratory studies, and the clinical exam would give an idea of this as well. Women with suspected uterine infections (when not pregnant) are usually treated for this with antibiotics. The ct scan may be looking for other sources of infection like appendicitis, or intestinal infections.
