24 hours ismore than enough to safely put your baby back to bresst. And if you had a short anesthesia time of 2 hours or less, you could put baby back to bresst as quickly as 12 hours. Finally, if your anesthesia was general for a C-section. as soon as you are fully awake you can put the newborn baby to breast, as it's just colostrum at that point.
