The answer is yes, you can safely give these to your son, but I would not go into it expecting much difference. While these may help an occasional patient in certain circumstances, studies clearly show that they do not make much difference for the vast majority of people who try them. As far as brand, choose one that is regulated some how so you know you are getting the dose it says it has.
