Some women who are usually very predictable can skip a cycle occasionally. The amount of delay is unpredictable and there are no real symptoms other than the delay & negative pregnancy tests. If it goes past two months with a negative pregnancy test many OBGYNs would offer meds to bring on a menses. By that point it would usually be quite heavy.

Occasionally you may have certain discomfort that may be related to small ovarian cyst that could throw off the timing of a cycle but largely there’s no other predictive factors

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
