Does taking cefspan antibiotic for 5 days affect your immune system ? or the course has to be long term for it to affect immune system?

Cefixime is an antibiotics but can cause significant side effects including worsening of kidneys, liver functions , C. difficile Infection and Agranulocytosis and these can make person more vulnerable to infections. It has been tried in ulcerative colitis to kill large bowel bacteria but indiscriminate use was not rewarded mostly.side effects increase with duration of use. Hope it helps.
