I want to check for my growth plates but other doctors say i shouldn't because it uses x-ray and the results are not certain. should i follow the other doctors advice?

Doctors do not want to use xrays just for satisfying curiosity. That said, there are xrays that check the growth plates to see if there is a problem, and sometimes can tell a patient their physiologic age to compare with the birthday age. This can help with certain metabolic diseases and vitamin deficiencies.
