Ive had a large hematoma on the outside of my thigh due to trauma from a horseback riding accident 7 years ago. the swelling has not gone away and now im experiencing numbness. should i be concerned?

Generally hematomas resolve spontaneously over time. However, surgically removing or evacuating the blood in a hematoma sometimes becomes necessary due to its symptoms or location.
