A member asked:

Question on hpv vaccine- which one for a 33 yr adult virgin female? is it recommended and can there be any side effects at this age ? also what should be the minimum gap between covid vaccine last dose and hpv first dose ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It hurts more than some vaccines. Otherwise side effects are minimal. The common one in use in the US is Gardasil 9 which helps prevent 7 cancer and 2 wart associated strains. I know of no data that suggests requiring an interval between this & the covid vaccines, (too new). The primary benefit is avoid cervical cancer in sexually active females. Insurers in the US don't cover it after age 29.
