A member asked:

I'm not overweight. i have slightly high cholesterol. my wife notices if i overeat fatty foods (not sugary) i'm more prone to upper respiratory infections. is there some truth in this? i also have an immunity deficiency diagnosed by an immunologist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. Eating fatty foods, while not good for you, has no bearing on developing a viral upper respiratory infection. However, your “immune deficiency” MAY, in fact be related to your upper respiratory infections. Need to discuss with your Immunologist
