A member asked:

If i had unprotected sexual intercourse about 36 hours ago, and i am on a contraceptive pill, would you suggest that i go get the morning after pill? (my menstruation ended about a week before intercourse?

If you have been on the pill for months and remember to take it as prescribed you have little chance of pregnancy. The pill works generally by preventing egg release, no egg =no pregnancy, no matter when in your cycle you have sex. Missing pills increases pregnancy risk. BC pills have a cited failure rate of ~1-5%/yr of use.
