How or why does cauliflower ear form in boxers and ufc fighters? i want to understand the physiological explanation please?

Repeated trauma, hemorrhage into the tissue and scarring result in the irregular appearance and excrescences lead to an appearance called cauliflower ear.

Boxer's ears are felt to be caused by repeated trauma and inflammation causing cartilage damage and interference with normal blood flow to the ear. The healing process causes folding of ear tissue from shriveling up and loss of normal pink color.
