Mimics: There are some rare conditions that can infiltrate the normal skin of ear, giving a similar appearance to cauliflower ear. These include amyloidosis, lipoid proteinosis, leprosy, and sarcoidosis. The way to diagnose these problems would be a skin biopsy by a dermatologist.
