Regestrone is a progestin only medication used to prevent painful menstrual cramps, reduce endometriosis symptoms and initiate or delay a period. It is not commonly used for contraception. If you have never taken Regestrone before yesterday and you have only taken one pill, you may not be protected. It takes up to 10 days for full protection to occur. Talk to your Dr.
