At "42", ovulation is delayed, which delays onset of menstruation, but also allows increased estrogen production, which can stimulate breast tissue, and since it fluctuates, the drops in estrogen level can cause mood swings, etc. . A tubal "17 years ago" is not likely to allow pregnancy, but obtain a serum HCG test to be certain.
