If you wish to "save" yourself, do not go the route of sleeping pills of any kind, as you can impair your sleep pattern for years. Find a doctor who will work with you to design a Sleep Hygiene program, and if necessary a meditation or biofeedback program to teach relaxation approaches. "Pills" are a dead end, and not the best approach.

Sleeping pills may lead to overmedication and dependence. See a psychiatrist and primary care dr in person to get evaluated for PTSD, bipolar disorder or any physical causes, etc. Don't use caffeine or other stimulants. Avoid strenuous activity late at night. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, deep breathing, chamomile tea, stretching & meditation may help. Think positive. I hope you feel relief soon!
