Calm down. Since you are fairly young and it’s happening on one side, have you considered the possibility that your shoes are causing an irritation to the nerve on top of your left foot. This is actually a very common problem. There is a bony prominence on the top of your foot in which a nerve runs across and commonly irritated. If you tap on the top of the foot it will send a signal to your toes

You may have a benign neuroma. Usually close to the base of the third and fourth toes. You may also have burning pain with this. I suggest you see a Podiatrist .
